I was wondering the same as i do not enjoy maths much, but still want to go into Dentistry after College, so I'm not sure but i considered that maybe media studies or English language could be good options.. Though most colleges don't really do English Language as it is not so in depth as English Literature, and Uni's may not value it as much, but they sure seem like lighter subjects to go with Biology and Chemistry. However Universities will look for biology & chemistry specifically at A-Level. So as long as you have a decent grade in Psychology and your other option as well as Bio&Chem, you will be able to get into medicine. Also, by having Media studies, you could always do Science Journalism as a back up career option. ..Good luck. :)

Well, A-level is the more advanced, being taken at college or sixth form, afetr your GCSEs. However, your GCSEs are also important, as both employers and universities take your GCSE and A levels into consideration. It is common to take around 10 GCSEs and 3-4 Alevels.

When it comes down to it though, your choice of Alevels will be far more important. You need to take science history and goegraphy

What are subject pass requirements to get into Oxford?

I'm not specific in the GCSE requirements - but they will accept nothing less than AAA in A levels. Good Luck... Edit: You need to be predicted 3 A's at Alevels however they can be more lenient on some subjects but not things like medicine, law, history, English etc. Some colleges require very very high gcse results such as Churchill but although all will take into account them many do not use it as a deciding factor on whether a student is right or not. However aim for as many A's and A*'s as possible especially in core subjects eg. English, Maths and whatever relates to your subject.

What education do you need to become an Immigration Officer?

"Immigration Officer" is a generic term covering jobs such as Immigration Enforcement Agent, Adjudications Officer, Immigration Information Officer, or Detention Officer. Each position requires a slightly different backgrounds in terms of education, and physical abilities and hire at entry level of GS-5 unless your experience qualifies you for a higher grade. You must be under 35 for most law-enforcement positions. To apply for most federal government job openings, you can apply online at www.usajobs.opm.gov. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services maintains a career link at www.uscis.gov and Immigration and Customs Enforcement at www.ice.gov. For most positions, you will be required to take a test administered by the Office of Personnel Management that is specific to the position you apply for. As positions become available, USCIS/ICE calls applicants with the highest scores first for interviews. Successful applicants will receive an offer which states the location, pay grade and other details. If you accept the offer, you will be paid as you complete a course of training relevant to your position. Upon graduation, you will be an "immigration officer" but still subject to a one year probationary period.

Why is it important to take the college entrance examination?

Its a good question and a bit of a controversial one as well. Imagine this scenario: There are 2 schools. The first is a school that is giving out high grades to nearly all students. 30 percent of the student body have a 4.0 gpas. At the second school, a B is considered a high grade and there are very, very few students with an A average. 5 applicants from the first school, all with 4.0's apply, and 5 from the second school, with 3.8s, apply to a 5 student university. Would it be fair to take all 5 from the 4.0 school and none from the other? No, of course not. SAT scores and ACT scores help colleges in the process of admissions. It is unfortunate that some students are geared towards tests and others are not. But this is a reflection upon the education system as a whole (if you struggle with tests, you will probably struggle in a difficult university). Don't blame the tests, blame the education system that makes them necessary. If you mean to ask, why is it important for an individual person (e.g. yourself) to take them... I dont necessarily think it is. If going to a 4-year university and getting a wallstreet job is important to you...Then grin and bear it my friend. Take the tests. But there are so many other ways to be successful in life (and I dont necessarily mean financially), and you would probably be happier anyway. Just keep your options open.
