I'm Not sure who you insure through but any minor over the age of 15 MUST be added as a driver on the policy. It does not matter if she will drive the car or not, she still must be stated on the policy and be insured for all cars. at least that's the law where I live.
Only VEHICLES are required to be insured, not individual drivers.
Yes, all scheduled drivers are assumed to have access to any of your covered vehicles and coverage is afforded regardless of which of your scheduled vehicles they are driving on any given day. All drivers on your insurance policy are automatically covered to drive all of the vehicles listed on your policy. Insurance companies don't insure you or your other scheduled drivers to drive only one of your scheduled vehicles. This is because as a permitted driver they are assumed to have access to any of the scheduled vehicles when needed. Even though each of your covered drivers may primarily drive a particular vehicle, they will need to drive one of the others if their preferred vehicle is inoperable or does not suit their needs on that particular day.
No.
No. Even if you have commercial insurance on your vehicles, you are still responsible for providing the insurance company with a list of drivers. If you do not notify them of the people driving the vehicles they can still deny coverage as you are not obeying the terms of the policy.
Your daughter has to actually go and get the permit herself. Although you may have car insurance for your daughter to drive she has to take the test.
Knowing how much auto insurance coverage is needed can save drivers on auto insurance fees in the long-run. Different states require different coverage amounts in areas such as medical expenses. Most insurance providers will automatically default to amounts at or above these minimums when providing insurance quotes. Whether or not drivers own or make payments on their vehicles also makes a difference on the amount of coverage required. Vehicles owned outright have more insurance options available for their drivers than vehicles still owned by the bank. Drivers can begin with the minimum coverage required and add on to that minimum as they deem necessary.
The premium is the price you pay for your auto insurance. This will vary greatly depending on location, drivers, accidents, vehicles, etc.
Only your insurance company can answer that - mine does... I have insured vehicles that were not in my name and insured vehicles in my name for other drivers - Geico... I have also loaned vehicles that were in collisions and they still covered them even though I did not specifically "add a driver".
In Massachusetts- must be listed as drivers on all policies
If you are NOT at fault you have no responsibility and the vehicles insurance company that is at fault must pay all damages and costs including a rental car. If you are at fault it depends on the vehicles insurance policy if it covers alternate drivers.
No you do not get a discount on car insurance if you have a CDL. This license just allows you to legally drive certain vehicles.
No, she does not. If you feel comfortable teaching her how to drive. She does not need to, but it will be an insurance deduciton.
