Yes, the main figures in the Nazi government were tried and hanged at Nuremberg. The people who held even some minor offices under the Nazis were banned from politics. And if one examines photographs of German cities after the war, their cities were in utter ruins with 90% of the housing stock in Berlin destroyed. The bombing of civilian areas can be considered a punishment in itself.
because they felt sorry for them so they didnt take the land off germany in ww2
It didn't gain any land. It did lose a lot of land, though.
World War 1 was a war that was caused by a web of alliances, Austria-Hungary had an alliance with Germany, Germany hated France who refused to enter any war without Britain. Italy wanted to be a world power so it allied with Germany and Austria-Hungary. Russia was mad at Austria-Hungary for declaring war on Serbia, and the ottoman empire was afraid of Russia so it allied with Germany and Austria-Hungary. When Austria Hungary declared war on Serbia Russia Declared war on Austria-Hungary, When Russia mobilized Germany declared war on Russia, France allied with Russia had to declare war, when Germany marched through Blegium-neutral-Britain declared war on Germany. With the tensions that had been going on in Europe for years, the war was inevitable.-war of alliances World War 2 was caused by World War 1-if Germany hadn't been hurt so bad by the Treaty of Versailles then Hitler would never have come to power and Germany would not have expanded.-imperialism war The Vietnam Wars were caused by the spread of communism and economic issues that had been going around the world at the time. It was a war between the north-communist and the south-run by a non-communist dictator, the north tried combine with the south and become one communist government. The war was secretly between the supporters of the north and the south, the soviet union and china supporting the north and NATO and the us supporting the south. It was a containment war.
World War I was not more horrific than any other war. Some would say World War II was though.
Einstein lived in Germany during WW1 but as a pacifist, he refused to have any involvement in the war. He was allowed to do so without being sent to jail due to having Swiss citizenship. It wasn't until 1933 that he fled Germany at the beginning of the holocaust.
WW2 was the last war Germany started.
Nazi Germany was in World War II, not world War I.The Nazi party did not exist in any form in World War I, and Germany was under the control of the Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II
It is generally impossible to prove a negative. The question needs to ask about evidence that Germany caused World War 1.
After world war one, visiting Germany was like visiting any other European country, aside from the separation of Jews.
Germany never bombed any Japanese cities during World War 2. They were allied to each other during that war.
yes
No
France did not lose any land to Germany in World War 1, but Germany had handed over land (Alsace-Lorraine) to France after the treaty in June 1919 which they were not happy about as they had alwaus been enemies of the french. well that's just world war 1
Germany had to pay some reparations after World War 2, but not on anything like the scale of those set after World War 1. As a result of the Cold War (1948 onwards), the Western Zones ceased making any reparations to the Soviet Union, which was supposed to be the main beneficiary. Shortly afterwards Britain and France ceased dismantling factories. In effect, reparations from the Western Zones ceased around 1950. The Soviet Zone had to continue to pay reparations to the Soviet Union for a further 15 years or so. Note that on the contrary, the U.S. gave very substantial financial aid to West Germany. As for the more general question of 'punishment', Germany's reputation was in tatters. Also about 12 millions Germans were expelled from Eastern Europe and forcibly resettled.
France.
The treaty of Versailles
Better than after, at any rate. Germany fell into recession at the end of the war, and that gave rise to Hitler.
