Radar technology had been around before World War 2 if I'm correct. It probably wasn't heavily used as it is today or in ww2. WW2 saw a great improvement on radar; radar saved England during WW2 because they could detect German planes before they got even close to land.

World War II marked a pivotal point in the development and application of radar technology. The conflict spurred rapid advancements in radar systems, which were crucial for military operations, including detecting enemy aircraft and ships. Nations invested heavily in radar research and development, leading to significant improvements in range, accuracy, and reliability. By the war's end, radar had transformed both air and naval warfare, laying the groundwork for its post-war applications in civilian industries and technology.
