Opals can actually be made from metals and non-metals and are of perticluar interest in modern Nanotechnology because they posess something called a photonic bad gap. This basically allows no light of a certain wavelength to propagate through the structure. Natural opals are formed from silicon dioxide otherwise known as silica. In research opals are commonly created from silica, silicon, PMMA and polystyrene.
Nails are metal.
Is ceramic metal or nonmetal
Metal is metal. Nonmetal is everything else.
it can be a metal or nonmetal or metalliods
Metal - metal compounds don't exist... Only metal-nonmetal and nonmetal-nonmetal
nonmetal
Nonmetal
nonmetal
Nonmetal.
nonmetal
Iodine is a nonmetal..........
A metal and a nonmetal; but exceptions exist.
