The honeymooners is about a bus driver Ralph and his sewer worker friend Ed as they struggle to make it rich, while their wives look on with weary patience. The sitcom was the first to portray working class married couples in a gritter non-idyllic manner as they were living in a run down Brooklyn apartment complex.
Ed's pal was Ralph Kramden, played by Jackie Gleason on the Honeymooners.
