Best Answer

Moon gravity is less because the atmosphere and mass and the earths gravity is greater than the moon if you weight yourself in the earth and then you weighted yourself in the moon you would weight less in the moon you could actually float in the moon because of its atmosphere and mass

What is earth's gravity vs the moon?

If you mean which has the stronger gravitational pull, its the Earth since it's much larger than the moon. The moon has about 1/4 of the gravitational pull that the Earth does. But its enough to affect the water on Earth. Which is how we get our tides in the ocean.

Is Saturn's moon titan larger than mars?

Titan is the moon that is bigger than Mercury in size (radius of 2576 km vs. 2440 km), but smaller in mass(1.3 x 1023 kg vs. 3.3 x 1023 kg).Yes, put simply.

What kind of conflict is in catch the moon?

The kinds of conflicts that exist are internal or external. In the short story Catch the Moon both are presented: Internal: 1. Luis vs. himself (over Naomi) 2. Luis vs. himself (over his mother's death) External: 1. Luis vs. cleaning hubcaps 2.Luis vs. Dad (Shark shirt) 3. Luis vs. rules (He spends time for being a troublemaker)

If the moon is waxing is it getting smaller or bigger?

When the moon phase is "waning" then it is not growing. It is better to say that the lit side of the moon is receding from view. Then, when the moon phase is "waxing" the lit side of the moon is coming into view. I like to remember this by saying that "waxing" means that the moon is "filling up with wax". This is only a way of remembering the naming scheme. Also, if your "energy" is "waning" then you are feeling tired. Thus waning is the decrease of something. In this case, the proportion of the lit vs unlit side of the moon in view is decreasing.

How does mass determine the force of gravity of an object in space such as the earth or moon?

Mass doesn't change when gravity is applied. Mass: The amount of matter in an object VS. Weight: The force of gravity on an object. Example: A cow is 800 kg on Earth, and 800 kg on the moon because you are not changing what the cow is made of.

What is mass vs gravity?

There is no such thing as mass vs gravity. Mass is the amount of matter in an object. Gravity is a fundamental force in the universe brought about by mass.

What is the speed of fall on Earth vs on Moon?

The question is somewhat ambiguous. It could be asking either one of two different questions. Here are the answers to both:1). The moon does not fall to earth because it has tangential velocity which, when combined with the force of gravity toward the center of the earth, results in a stable Keplerian elliptical orbit.2). Apples do not fall to the moon because of the following facts:a). The apple's distance from the moon's center is roughly 60 times the apple's distance from the earth's center.b). The earth's mass is roughly 82 times the moon's mass.c). The result is that the gravitational force attracting the apple to the earth is roughly 295,000 times the force attracting it toward the moon. The same situation holds true for all objects on the earth. A car, attracted to the earthwith a force (weight) of 2000 pounds (1 ton), is also attracted to the moon by a forceof about 1/10th of an ounce. When it falls, it falls in the direction of the greater force.
