No. Homeowners inusrance Policies are "term policies". They have a beginning date and an expire date, generally one year.

Once the policy expires it is no longer in force. There is no grace period other than the due by date affixed to the invoice. Once the expiration date has expired, there is no further coverage if the policy has not been renewed.
