AnswerNo.. Your deducible would probably be higher than the cost to replace one room or small section of your carpet anyway.

Home owners insurance typically does not cover normal wear and tear over time and occassional spillage of paint and other fluids would most likely be considered normal wear and tear over the life of your home.

I disagree 10 years ago we were painting a room upstairs and our 2 young children gt into the paint and there little footprints all the way downstairs and we got carpet for upstairs all the way downstairs and family room and did not raise our premiums
