∙ 11y agoOn the gearbox :) common for all gearboxes is a filling hole aprox halfway up, in front or on the outside. Google for images of gearboxes , helps a lot.
I own this same model and the problem i am having is the fuel pump keeps going out. From what I have found out, this is a common problem for this type and year.
Check the anti-freeze canister for a hairline crack or have pressure tested. Common problem.

this is a common problem, and the dealer carries remanufactured units, still pricy
They had an issue with low oil pressure holding the clutch's in. This allowed the clutch's to slip a very small amount over time requiring the transmission to be rebuilt. If the pressure is increased when it is rebuilt it cures the problem.
Go to your local Honda dealer. I would say that yours is an automatic. They have a common problem with the auto clutch. Honda have extended there warranty on the CVT-7 gearbox --- speak to your local dealer
AnswerIf the cables are new they are defect. If they are old they need to be replaced.AnswerThey make cable lube just for this problem. Its a common problem when racing dirtbikes or quads. Dirt water get into them
