Hi there. While images of an actual H SI1 diamond are hard to come by on the internet, it is for good reason. Video cameras, even the most advanced ones, cannot magnify a diamond 10x to show the inclusions in the diamond, and even if it did, you may have a hard time finding where they are and what they look like anyway.

So what I found was an illustration of an SI1 diamond. The link lets you actually play with different clarities and compare one to the other. The second link that I found gives you a good indication of what an "H" color diamond looks like.

I would also have to congratulate you on choosing an "H SI1" because that is in the range where you get more "bang for your buck." Staying in the top of the near-colorless range and in the slightly included clarity range ensures that you get an eye-clean, face up white stone. In this situation, you can get a bigger stone for less money than if you went whiter or cleaner. Once you get any higher in clarity or color people won't notice a difference between an H SI1 and a D VVS2 to their naked eye. If youre not one of those guys that needs a D Flawless diamond just to say he has one, then save yourself the money and stick with a diamond with a quality similar to this one. So, hats off to you.

Anyways, dont forget those links to get a better idea of what Im talking about.

What is the minimum color and clarity for diamond stud earrings?

You can buy/ wear diamond stud earrings of any colour and clarity that you can afford. Investment-quality, jewelry-grade stones, however, will each be larger than one carat, with a colour grade of D, E, or F, and a clarity of VVS1. Stones with a more yellow or darker cast and more flaws will certainly sparkle with a good cut, but may not hold an investment-quality value on resale. *************** Another answer: Been researching this topic. For personal use and without planning to resell, recommend minimum color of G-H, clarity of SI1, with an excellent cut. This is more affordable while having good shine with almost colorless diamond (G-H) and no visual flaws (SI1). The diamond is on an ear so people do not view it directly or as close as viewing an enagement ring. Check prices on various websites by varying the different criteria, such as color of diamond or clarity of diamond. Makes a big difference.
