A water balloon weighs 5 ounces. Do 8 water balloons weigh more than 1 pound yes no Submit?

If you weighed 200 pounds what would your weight be in pints?

That isn't a matching conversion. Pints are a measure of liquid volume. Pounds is a measure of weight/mass. They don't convert directly because of density. If you weighed the same as water, you would be 200 pints. But the human body is lighter than water, so it would be more, say 220 pints.

What weighs more 50 pints or 50 pounds?

That depends on what's in the pints. If they're full of air, they weigh much less than 50 pounds. If they're full of water, they weigh pretty close to 50 pounds. If they're full of stones or gold, they weigh a lot more than 50 pounds. If the pints are empty, they weigh nothing at all.

The same it weighed when it was liquid---but it has a greater volume because ice is "fluffier" than water.

How much does a pint of liquid weigh in pounds?

Depends on what the liquid is... For water, a pints a pound (about). Since oil floats on water, you know it is lighter than water.

How much will 2pints of water weigh after being in a freezer for a day?

Does a balloon weigh 8 ounces?

no

How can you measure the volume of air inside a ballon?

Probably the simplest way would be to fill a container having a known volume (say, a 5 gallon bucket) with water right to the top, weigh it, then push the balloon under the water. The water displaced by the balloon will spill out. (Your hand will displace water too, which screws things up, so use something like a stick to push the balloon all the way in.) Now take the balloon out of the water and weigh the bucket again. The difference between the earlier weight and the final weight is the weight of the water that the balloon displaced. The density of water is 1 gram per cubic centimeter (cc), so (to a very good approximation) the volume of air in your balloon in cc is the same as the weight of the displaced water in grams.

How does the size of a balloon effect the mass it can weigh?

it's because of the ratio of the weight of the air in the balloon to the air outside the balloon
