dont do nothing just relax and watch a movie
There is more than one answer to this question. Because you did not state who was at fault in the accident. If the other driver was at fault, it is that person or their insurance company that is responsible for the repairs on your car. If it is the friends fault, then it is the friend that is responsible. Even if the friend did or did not know you had did not have insurance.
the person responsible for the accident, if the person riding yours caused the accident than he/she is responsible
the insurance of the person responsible for the accident
Fill out accident report with police. The person's insurance will pay for repairs.
They have to pay for your repairs themselves
Generally speaking, the person responsible for the accident is responsible for the damage. If the responsible person refuses to pay ot doesn't pay fast enough, the other can sue them if they wish.
Auto Insurance follows the car not the driver. My son's girlfriend was driving his car when they where in an accident and his insurance was responsible.
There are many scenerios to this one. It could be one person's fault or both parties faults and thus, if both parties were to blame their own insurance companies would deal with it. If it was the fault of the other person, then they are responsible for paying out repairs to the other vehicle or any bodily injuries.
No. The person driving is the responsible party.
== == In the event that you got into a car accident and it was not your fault but the other driver's, if he is insured, his insurance company is liable to pay for the damages of your vehicle. On the other hand, if the other driver is not insured, your own insurance company, provided you have a policy regarding uninsured or underinsured drivers, will be responsible for the damages your vehicle has incurred. They however, may have a right of action against the person responsible for the accident. The person who caused the damage to your vehicle is ultimately responsible for the damage to your vehicle regardless of whether there is an applicable insurance coverage or not. Whether you actually have the repairs done is none of their business.
Not unless there are unusual circumstances. Generally the insurance provider of the person who is deemed to have been responsible for the accident is liable.
You hope that the other driver responsible in the crash has insurance that covers uninsured drivers and then you sue your friend!
