Why does wolfquest 2 keep shutting down?

There have been numerous problem reports about WolfQuest quitting only when the user attempts a certain action, often when trying to use the multiplayer feature, or crashing when attempting to join a multiplayer session. A lot of the time the 'game closing' issue is down to the user's anti-virus, particularly those which have an integrated firewall in the program that's causing the issue, while the crashing issue has been more common since 2.5.1 was released. To prevent this, you will need to add WolfQuest or its ports to the anti-virus program's firewall exceptions, not your computer's firewall unless problems persist, in order to allow the game to make the necessary connections required for it to connect to the user database (http://wolfquest.org) and the game server provided by Unity. For information on adding ports to your router/firewall, please review the related links. :)If your anti-virus doesn't have a built-in firewall but you're encountering a 'stopped working' error dialogue box, the problem is being caused by Windows Data Execution Prevention -- this can be resolved manually. Go to 'Computer' > click 'System Properties' > click 'Advanced System Settings' > under the 'Advanced' tab should be a section titled 'Performance'. Click 'settings', then click the 'Data Execution Prevention' tab > select the option "turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:", then choose the 'Add' box and navigate to the directory where WolfQuest was installed to--x32 bit computers: C:\Program Files\WolfQuestx64 bit computers: C:\Program Files (x86)\WolfQuestAdd WolfQuest to the DEP list then click the OK box. You may be prompted the restart your computer, which I advise doing to ensure the changes are applied. After rebooting, run WolfQuest and retry. If the error is something along the lines of "WolfQuest has crashed, submit a report to the developers", this has become quite common with multiplayer and usually happens while attempting to connect to a multiplayer session; this has not been fixed, and must be patched by the game's developers. There is no manual patch. You can persist; eventually, you'll be able to connect without a problem. There's nothing that can be done about this error; a crash log will be generated in the WolfQuest installation directory (see above) which you can send to the team via e-mail -- please see the related links for relevant information on how to do this.

How do you make the sounds in wolfquest not be able to hear?

There are two ways that I'm aware of.1) While playing the game, hit the 'Esc' key and navigate to Options or Settings. From here, turn 'Music' all the way down. You can't mute all sounds in this way.2) Windows-based: Right-click your volume icon in the taskbar and 'Open volume mixer'. Find the WolfQuest application and click the small speaker icon to mute the game. This will completely mute WolfQuest, even the sounds that the in-game options do not allow you to.

Can you request a wolfquest?

No. The WolfQuest Team only intended to produce WolfQuest. There are no plans (nor funding) for any other animal Quest games, such as LionQuest or anything of the sort. Additionally, the team don't take requests, but they did allow suggestions for future episodes -- some ideas were implemented based on feedback, however there won't be any future episodes of WolfQuest due to lack of funding resources and discontinuation on Minnesota Zoo's part.

How do you go to the Muliplayer chat on WolfQuest?

I want to get on multiplayer but i cant they said somethin about a lexicon chat somethin like tht. whts a lexicon chat??? someone plz help me.I assume that Lexicon Chat is whatever they use to allow chatting between players in multiplayer mode - sometimes it cannot be accessed due to poor internet connection. Now, to answer the original question; to access the multiplayer mode, you have to register an account on the WolfQuest website. When your account in registered, you have to wait for a period of time for it to be fully accepted by the site admins. The maximum amount of time you should have to wait is 3 days, and they recommend that if you still have not received a confirmation email by then, you should email the admin address that will be contained in the first email you receive from them for signing up. (Don't delete that email!) Then, once you have been confirmed, I think you will be able to log in to multiplayer games with your website login and password. If not, they will probably provide an alternate password. Sorry for the ramble - hope I helped! xx
