Actually you can't just add it. For rented property you need Dwelling coverage.

Your homeowners insurance policy becomes automatically null and void when the property is rented out to another. You can have your agent endorse your policy for rental dwelling coverage or you can have your agent re-write the policy on the appropriate dwelling coverage form.

Homeowners insurance is for owner occupied homes. Dwelling insurance is the landlords insurance for rented properties

I was in a car accident and my insurance will not provide a rental car even though i have full coverage can they do that?

You only get a rental if your policy specifies that you chose to pay extra to have rental car coverage. Having collision coverage is not the same thing as having rental. Collision coverage just covers the repairs to your vehicle. If you are not at fault for the accident, the other person's insurance will provide you with a rental car.

Will the Insurance Company pay for a rental car if the accident is your fault and if you have full coverage ins?

Does structure only insurance have any liability coverage?

If you purchase liability coverage on the dwelling policy then yes it will have liability coverage. If you only wanted the minimum price with no extra coverage that's what you get. Make sure you purchase the coverage you want when you talk with an agent. Dwelling coverage is used in situations when you own a home that you don't live in such as a rental property or if it does not qualify for a homeowners policy for some reason. You can add coverage for liability, contents, and many other additional coverages.

Who pays for the damages to your vehicle if a rental car is at fault?

It all depends on whether the renter signed up for the car rental company's extra insurance coverage at the beginning of the rental. If LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) or CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance coverage was accepted by the renter, you will likely be dealing with the car rental company's insurance. If the renter declined the extra coverage, then you will deal directly with the renter's personal insurance provider.

Your son was in a accident while driving a budget rental truck he did not take the extra insurance out but did have his own insurance on his carhis insurance company refused to pay because the truck?

most insurance companies do not offer or you must pay extra money for coverage on the larger box trucks. This is why the rental companies offer the coverage. It is easier and usually less money inthe long run. Most likely the rental company will bill your son for the damages.

Your auto coverage may include coverage for a rental vehicle. Contact your insurance provider to make sure. If it does not, you may be required to pay extra to the rental agency for coverage. You may be able to waive the insurance, in which case you would be personally responsible for damage to the vehicle and for property damage and bodily harm caused by the vehicle when you were driving it. The car rental agency must also have insurance on you, and a amount of the rental charge will reflect that. The agency must also offer you collision damage waiver insurance and theft insurance.
