It is only dangerous if the can has been opened. It is very unwise to store an opened tin can in the fridge. Nasty bacterial growth.
If it is in a sealed jar then it is fine to keep just in a dry cupboard, however if it is unsealed or has been opened, it is best to keep it in the fridge.
If it has no sour odor and looks fairly dry, yes.
The general rule is that once jam, or any perishable food, has been opened it should be returned to the fridge within 2 hours.
The fizz should stay longer if kept in the fridge because if you take away energy (make it cooler) you will lower the solubility meaning that it won't saturate the air in the fridge.

Nothing. It stays as it is. Corn seeds ( which popcorn is) has been stored and kept for centuries as seed for corn crops by farmers who store it months or years. I keep mine in the fridge. Not sure if it helps it, but I heard that it did.

According to "The Association for Dresses and Sauces," commercially available mayonnaise can be left out of the refrigerator for a long time and still be safe. Apparently, the eggs used in commercial mayo are pasteurized, killing bacteria like Salmonella. Also, they say, commercial mayo is sufficiently acidic to be unfavorable to bacteria that may be introduced after opening the jar. I always assumed that Salmonella was the prime problem, but if you think about it, mayo sits on store shelves unrefrigerated for a long time, and there's no reason Salmonella couldn't grow then. TADS also says the reason refrigeration is recommended by the mayo jar is to preserve fresh taste.
