My father is a doctor and said if creams like elidel are stored in perfect conditions, they can often be safely used up to 6months after the expiry, maybe even a year.
The potency of it may not be the same after too long though, and of course it is stamped on there for a reason, so unless you really have to, don't, and if its more than a few months be wary.
