It really depends on what you are serving it with. If it is with dinner serve it with a red meat such as prime rib or a good steak. The old rule white wine with white meat and red wine with red meat works as a good guideline. If its a good quality red wine don't waste it serving it with Hamburgers. Be sure to keep it a room temperature when you serve it.

Slightly cooler than room temp, about 60 degrees, in a large open wine glass filled about 1/3 full or less. If you expect to go through the bottle, it is a good idea to open it an hour early or so (some people decant for an hour or two).
