i assume you are referring to the fan clutch nut? you need two tools, there is one that has two pins that hold the water pump pulley, and either a fan clutch wrench or a big adjustable wrench, you hold it with the pulley holder and give a quick whack to the wrench to unseat it, then it usually unscrews by hand. I suggest removing the fan shroud first obviously.
