you can try running on regular gas the adding rubbing alcohol yes the kind you can buy in your local grocery store at a ratio of 1:3.5. if your bad at math that's one part rubbing alcohol to every 3.5 parts gasoliene. for example if you have a 16 gallon tank you would put one gallon of rubbing alcohol along with the 15 gallons of gas . this will also slightly improve your gas mileage but you cant do it to much because the cumbustion process is to violent for an engine of that age it will harm the engine if you do it every time you fill up.

this is just a way to pass emissions testing it is not in any way intended to cheat out the gasoliene companies. use this at your own risk and discresion. i am not responsible for the harm that might be caused to your engine from the above statement.

AnswerHigh hydrocarbon emissions from a vehicle may be caused by improper ignition timing, faulty ignition, misfiring problems, vacuum leaks, worn piston rings or valves or an exhaust gas recirculation system incorrectly operating at idle. One fouled spark plug can result in extremely high hydrocarbon emissions. You truck is 29 years old and probably has high mileage. Start by replacing the spark plugs and plug wires. Replace every single vacuum line under the hood. Replace them one at a time, so as to not get confused. Clean you EGR Valve of any carbon deposits, and make sure it is functioning correctly. Pour a can of a good Fuel Injector cleaner such as Seafoam or Techron in a full tank of fuel. Leave the cheap stuff on the shelf, as is does very little good. To remove built up carbon deposits, inject it through the intake by following the directions on a can of Seafoam. Have someone check the timing on this vehicle. Check the smog pump to see if it is functioning. A compression check will verify if you have worn rings or a burnt valve. raise idle to 1000 rpm, also retard timing, check for vacuum leaks, fresh oil change, you can pull pcv out of valve cover and let it draw fresh air if you have a hairy cam just pay to pass

What are emission levels?

Emission levels means the amount of something that is being emitted. For example, we want to lower the emission levels of factory pollution that is going into the air.

What determines an elements emission spectrum?

The electron energy levels.

Is the engine thermostat part of the emission system?

No, but the temperature senders are part of the emission system. If the thermostat malfunctions, the emission system will not operate at optimum levels.

Can i move the o2 sensors in front of the cats so all 4 o2 sensors are in front of the cats?

That will not give your computer the correct readings for emissions or tuning. The pre cat O2 sensors record hydrocarbon levels that are compared to the post cat levels to determine emissions efficiency and to adjust fuel/air ratios for operation. There should be a significant drop in hydrocarbon levels between the two showing that the cat is operating correctly. If your aim is to eliminate the cats I cannot tell you if your performance will be affected, your check engine light may come on and stay on making it impossible to get emission certified.

What comes after unit testing?

These are the next testing levels after unit testing: 1 Integration testing 2 Component interface testing 3 System testing 4 Operational Acceptance testing

Define emission system?

An Emission system can include many things depending on the vehicle. The carbon canister/purge valve- prevents Hydro carbon vapors from escaping from the fuel system. EGR system helps lower NOx levels, catalytic converters - helps converter crbon monoxide and HCs into carbon dioxide and water thru a chemical reaction. On diesels they now have Diesel exhaust fluid which helps lower NOx levels.

Will percocet levels show in baseline testing?

Yes

Which scientists postulated that the sharp lines in the emission spectra of elements are caused by electrons moving from high energy levels to low energy levels?

Niels Bohr
