You would have to do two very difficult things: 1) increase the size of the engine to produce more power 2) increase the size of the copper windings and everything else inside the alternator unit which is driven by the motor to make the electricity. So - unless you are an engineer with a workshop and all the necessary tools and materials to be able to build a bigger engine and a bigger alternator into the frame, the only practical way you can get more power from a generator unit is to replace the one you have now by a bigger unit.

How many watts can be powered by a 9 volt generator?

There is no way to answer without knowing the wattage rating of the 9 volt generator. A generator's wattage rating depends on the size of the wire in it, the wattage of the rectifiers if it is a DC generator, and the horse power of the engine or motor that is available to turn the generator.

Have lincoln wire welder 115v 15a how many watt generator to operate?

To find the wattage needed , you multiply amps by volts. In the case of a portable generator you need to find the running wattage. most generators display peak wattage in large numbers on the top , or frame . this is not suitable for welders, which may exceed this for longer than the gen. is rated . You need to look at the actual tag that shows running watts and specific voltages.

Is Your Standby Generator Big Enough?

When selecting a standby generator, you should not only consider the wattage requirements of any equipment connected to the system, but you should also factor in the starting wattage of any electric motors. The typical electric motor draws three to five times the current when starting than it does when running, so it's important to have a big enough generator to avoid burning out any motors.

How many kW generator for a home?

You have to make a decision as to what you want to make your priority loads. Once you have established this, add up all the load wattages. Use the following formula if you can not find what the wattage load is from the nameplate of the device. W = amps x volts. Generators are rated in wattage. Your load wattage total must be under the load wattage capacity of the generator.

How many watts does a whole house generator use?

The size of a generator is based on what the connected load will be. Add up all of the connected wattages that will be connected to the generator at one time and add ten percent, this will be the size of the generator you will need. Some equipment does not show the wattage on its nameplate. To find the wattage use the following formula Watts = Amps x Volts.

How do you size a generator for a motor?

Make two lists. List the appliances you want the generator to run when commercial power is available. Next, list the appliances you want the generator to run when commercial power is NOT available. Determine the wattage of each appliance and then add them together for the first list. Repeat this for the second list. This will give you total wattage for each list. This will help you determine the size of the generator needed to power your devices when commercial power is available and for when commercial power is not available.Understanding the wattage values of each appliance is important for correctly choosing the wattage values to add together to get the total estimated wattage needed to power your appliances. If all of your loads are resistive, such as incandescent lamps and heaters, you simply add up their wattage to get a total. However if you have electric motors which will cycle on and off or appliances like a heat pump or an air conditioner, you must take into consideration the required starting current of these devices. The start up current of these devices can be up to 6 times the running current.Starting Watts are the power the generator can produce for short periods of time.Running Watts are the power the generator can produce continuously. Here is an example of how to determine generator size:Question: I am considering the purchase of a standby portable generator to power key appliances in the event of a power loss which sometimes occur during winter snow storms. Do I just add up the total number of watts required by the appliances I want to run? In the event of a winter storm interruption of electricity, I am looking to keep the refrigerator/freezer running, along with the blower motor of a pellet stove, a few electric lights, and a radio. All else can wait until power is restored!Answer: The total estimated wattage of 1840 watts is needed for the radio (15 watts), the motor (575 watts), and the refrigerator/freezer (1250 watts). To this I added 500 watts for five 100 watt light bulbs for a total of 2340 running watts. Next I added the starting watts of the motor to the running watt total of 2340 watts, to get the total estimated wattage of the generator needed to power all these appliances simultaneously. For example, assuming the starting watts needed for the blower motor are 3 times its running watts (3 times 575 watts = 1725 watts), so the total estimated wattage of the generator needed to power all these appliances simultaneously is 2340 running watts plus the 1725 starting watts of the blower motor, for a total of 4065 watts. The generator needed to run all these appliances simultaneously would need to have a maximum power output of at least 4065 watts.Note: The maximum power output is also called short time watts, peak watts, maximum watts, surge watts, and starting watts. It's helpful to keep this in mind when reading portable generator wattage ratings.

How many watts does a generator have to have to run a blow dryer?

Check the wattage of the blow dryer and add 500 watt. This will be the size of generator you will need to use.

How much would a Yamaha generator cost?

Prices vary for a Yamaha Generator depending on the size of the generator. The more wattage involved, the more you will need to pay. First you need to determine the size of generator you need then contact a local retailer.

How can you increase the wattage of your computer?

The wattage rating tells you how much electricity its consuming, most electrical appliances give this information.

What does Incoming and running generators are in same phase while paralleling two generators mean?

When two generators are to be run in parallel, one generator is first started and some load is given. Then second generator is brought in parallel with the running generator (subject few conditions, like voltage, frequency, phase angle). First generator which is running is known as running generator, the second generator which gets connected is known as incoming generator

How the solenoid become an electric generator?

A solenoid will never become an electrical generator. The two articles in the question are two different devices. A solenoid, is usually associated with an electrically operated valve. An electrical generator is used to produced a voltage output of a specific value and an amperage of a specific value. Combined amps and volts results in a wattage output. It is the wattage rating that generators are sized by.
