You could remove the transfer case, front driveshaft, front diff and front axleshafts. Then you'll most likely have to swap the transmission for a 2 wheel drive version and find a 2 wheel drive rear driveshaft. You would basically need a 2 wheel drive Blazer with all its running gear in good shape so you could swap all the parts over. If you're not emotionally attached to your current 4wd Blazer, I recommend just selling it and finding a fitting 2wd replacement rig.
First you have to make sure it is a four wheel drive vehicle.
If the blazer is wheezing, it could be transmission, but if it has 4-wheel drive, check to make sure that the gear is correctly shifted.
1994 through 2004 should be interchangeable without no problems, some of the four wheel drive models are not. If you have locking hubs for your four wheel drive and the transmission on the other is not then you would have to convert it. Mine has the selector switches on the dash with the AWD option. As long as it is the same make you should have no problems.
There are literally 100 different things that can cause your four-wheel-drive not to work. The most common cause is a disconnected wire on the four-wheel-drive selector switch.
A four wheel drive actuator works by either a mechanical or electric solinod what will engage when you turn 4x4 on depending on what make and model your vehicle is the location
Ford did not make a factory 4X4 until 1959. If you wanted a four wheel drive before then, you had to find a conversion company. Marmon-Harrington was one of the biggest.
There are many 1978 1 ton four wheel drive vehicles. A make and model would assist in getting a correct answer.

4 wheel drive, no. All-wheel drive is an option in the newer chargers (i think it was first an option in the 2009s)
Anything is possible for enough money.
Could it be engineered in such a fashion? Certainly. As for doing it yourself, there are some custom transfer case builders who build transfer cases which can be set to front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, then there'll be a couple different four wheel drive settings, but these are very niche products, and extremely expensive.
hi all ford focus cars are front wheel drive unless you make it four wheel drive. now if you can find a old fod rs200 which is four wheel drive you can take the drive tran and put it under the focus as long as the wheel base is the same. have fun hope this helps you.focusfan24
