the way a shinge beach is formed
the first thing that happens when a shingle beach is formed is rocks fall from a cliff and end up into the sea. The sea then erodes(rubs) against the rock and it makes the rock smaller . The rock is then moved from the sea to the shore(s).
Beaches, Sand bars and Spits.
Beaches are found at the shoreline of rivers, lakes, and oceans. See the related link listed below for more information:
Rocks found by volcanoes are formed from lava and magma inside and outside the volcano. Rocks found along beaches are formed all kinds of different ways. It all depends on how the rock is formed
Sand dunes are formed on beaches and in deserts by wind. After a dune forms, wind causes the dune to slowly move forward. Wind also carries away loose soil, causing erosion.
Tombolo's are ridges of sand and shingle which join the mainland to an island. Tombolo's are created through the process of longshore drift. Where there is a change in the shape of the land, a spit forms in the shallow / sheltered water. A tombolo is formed where the spit continues to grow until it reaches an island, forming a link with the mainland

The best lighting to take pictures of shingle beaches would be early in the day or in the evening because the sun will be low and show the shingles off more dramatically. Shingle beaches make good photography subjects.

A sandy beach has fine soft sand on the shore that people can sit, walk, relax, play and build sandcastles. Shingle beaches on the other hand are the ones with pebbles that are not suitable for taking walks and building sandcastles, as they are more rocky than soft.
The cuticle is a tightly formed structure made of shingle-like overlapping scales.
