On any water heater, the shut off is on the incoming cold pipe.

Chevy impala air condition problemsIt blows warm airI recharged it with a dye but cant find a leak.Took it in twice was low on refrigerant they recharged it but same problem.?

Your probles lies in either the heater switch,to command the selinoid to shut down the valve for the hot coolent,or the selinoid its self. Some where along the line the valve that shuts down in the heater line,to stop the hot coolent from entering the heater core is not closing.May be the shut off valve it's self . As you say..Air is on ,and i still get hot air. so heater switch ,(from hot to cold),selonoid, shut off valve??

Where are shut-off valves?

In every home thee are a number of shut-off valves. Where the water pipe enters the house is the main shut off, usually beside the PRV, a bell shaped device for regulating the house pressure. This main cold line will then branch off to the water heater, bathrooms and kitchen. Each faucet and the water heater and the toilet will have a shut-off valve. The hot water line comes out of the top of the heater and goes to bathrooms and kitchen. Each hot faucet also has a shut-off valve under it.

Main off and still have water flowing?

You will get some back pressure from the water heater. It will come out of either the hot or cold. Shut the tank off if there is a shut off there.

Where is the shut-off valve for the heater in a 1998 Chevy 6 cylinder vortec?

Yours might not have one. It's getting cold outside now. Why would you want to shut it off? Yours probably has a door that is used to control the hot air coming from the heater core.

How do you shut off water to shower in a condo.Shower wont stop dripping about 4 gallons an hour?

If you have a water heater in the unit there may be a shut off before that, usually at the floor or follow the cold side to a shut off. There may be an access panel behind the shower, possible in a hall closet but not always and there might be shut off valves there, but not likely. If your water heater is in the basement, there should be a shut off for each unit there.

Are DeLonghi heaters safe to keep in the home?

DeLonghi heaters are safe to keep in home. This brand of home heaters has a automatic shut off. If this heater brand tips over or becomes over heated it is made to shut off on it's own.

Why does my heater blow hot air then blows cold air. If I turn off the heater for 2 minutes then back on it blows hot air again.?

MY FRIENDS CAR DID THAT SAME THING. CHECK YOUR COOLANT LEVEL ITS PROBABLY EMPTY. YOU MAY HAVE A SLOW LEAK SOME WHERE. WHEN YOUR CAR IS RUNNING IT PULLS THE COOLANT THROUGH THE MOTOR IF YOU ARE LOW ON COOLANT, BUT NOT EMPTY YOUR AIR COULD TURN COLD. THEN WHEN YOU SHUT OFF YOUR CAR IT BUILDS BACK UP IN THE RADIATOR, SO WHEN YOU START IT AGIAN IT WILL HAVE ENOUGH FOR A WHILE UNTIL IT PULLS THROUGH THE ENGINE AGIAN. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. the heater core has been flushed out. the antifreeze is full there is a new thermostat in it but it still does the same thing in the morning i have no heat at all. help please

Where is the cold water line on a hot water heater?

The two pipes going into the heater should be marked with either Hot and Cold or a H and C. There should be a shut off valve on the cold side, but sometimes there is one on both sides. If the piping is visible, you can follow one or the other to where it comes into the house. The water heater is usually the first thing the water line runs to.

How do you shut down water heater while on a vacation?

If you want to shut it down completely, turn off the cold water stop going into the hot water tank. If it is an electrical tank shut the breaker off to the HWT. If it is a gas HWT, shut off the gas valve as well.
