Does the physician have an obligation to stop and help a person that is injured in a car accident?

if he wants to get sued then he should help then they can own a piece of his / her practice.....

This depends upon jurisdiction. The province of Quebec, Canada, has a "good Samaritan" law that requires people to help others in an emergency, but most jurisdictions do not have such laws.

Your question does not specifically ask about legal obligation, but about obligation in general, wich could include a purely moral obligation. If a person has an opportunity to help another person who is in grave peril, there might be a moral obligation to do so. On the other hand, when there is a car accident, emergency services are called to the scene. Someone is going to get there. A physician might therefore leave matters in the hands of others who are expected to arrive. Whether the added delay will be of any crucial medical significance, would be impossible to know without actually getting involved in examining the accident victim. The Hippocratic Oath does not require doctors to help everybody who needs help, which would be an unreasonable demand to make. So, in the end, it is up to the doctor to decide if he or she wishes to get involved in an accident scene.
