Not all ovens are self cleaning. This does reduce cleaning times, but is not a necessity.

You'll always have to clean a bit, removing residue and other gunk that the oven can't clean on its own.

Why do ovens smell when they are self cleaning?

Any little scraps of food that have fallen onto the oven's bottom or racks will burn up which causes a bad smell. Because the oven gets hotter than usual when it self-cleans, the food that might not have burned before does now. And burnt cookies do not smell great...

Does GE make any commercial ovens?

All of GE's ovens are meant for household use, but they can be used commercially as well. However, they are not traditional commercial ovens like a Viking or Thermador. A GE would be a more affordable option though.

How do you clean the GE Rapid Clean III Self Cleaning Oven?

Refer to the owner's manual, as not all self-cleaning ovens work the same way. Remove the racks and pans, and wipe off any liquids or grease that have not become baked on. Slide the door shield to the closed position, if applicable, and close the outer oven door. Turn the knobs to Clean. If your oven does not have that, set the temperature knobs to desired setting and be sure to end the cycle in 2 to 3 hours, after which time you can safely unlock the door.

What can we do for Carpet Cleaning?

Hire a professional carpet cleaning service is the best option. Steam cleaning is the best option to clean carpets. It is the process where the carpet is sprayed with a cleaning agent, and then hot water is injected with high-pressure extraction that extracts the water. During this process, all the dirt or stains or urine stains etc. comes out immediately. for more information check out the link in our profile.

Is there such thing of self cleaning windows?

Self cleaning glass DOES exist, kind of. In theory, glass which is either fabricated with a hydrophillic surface (i.e. etremey smooth and water-loving) has self cleaning properties. Glass can also be treated by the consumer of a professional to be hydrophillic or hydrophobic (water hating). Here's the catch though... "Self Cleaning" glass needs exposure to a great amount of water to actually be self cleaning. If a window that is purportedly self-cleaning is not exposed to enough rain / water to sheet all the dirt and debris off the window, then the dirt will remain on the glass, henceforth, the glass will still be dirty. My suggestion, unless you want to hose down all of your windows every few weeks, save your money by buying regular glass and hire a professional window cleaner to handle your windows for you!
