Please think a little more clearly about getting married at such a young age. I am not saying you aren't mature at all, because the young can often be more mature then full grown adults. What I am saying is that 16 is too young for marriage when there is a whole world of wonderful things out there. You could go to business school, college, be who you want to be if you want it bad enough. You could travel, meet new people and have adventure and fun. If you get married these opportunities usually aren't available to you because it takes money to pay rent, etc., and eventually buy a home and then have children. Don't cheat yourself out of the best years of your life.
If you feel you are truly in love, then don't get married, but perhaps travel together, get to see the world, find out who you really are inside, and what you want out of life and strive for it. You are so very lucky you are so young and the choice is up to you.

∙ 15y agoyes in most states you have to be 18 to get legally married no you can get your parents to sign some paper at court so you can get married at 16. if you feel that 16 is right and your parents agree to you getting married

∙ 13y agoGetting married at sixteen would be entirely silly. Graduate high school, go to college, get a job, THEN get married. You learn a lot about yourself in those years and one of those things might be the type of person you want to marry (in the future). Don't focus on it now, you're too young.
