as a repo
A repo is a repo is a repo.
IF the lender posts a repo on your CR, you have one. You will have the repo on your credit report, but it should also show up as "redeemed".
7 years from the date of repo.
this question can form a wide range of answers it depends on if you are willing to pay on the repo car how ever the most they can do is put it on your credit and it can stay on there for 7 years it will show on your credit report as repo ..a large number of people never pay off a repo car even if you do pay on it to try and save your credit the fact still remain it was repo and it will show repo settlement
First question is, was there a repo? Was the car NOT worth repoing? The lender doesnt have to retrieve the car on any certain day. You still have the option of paying off the loan.
Yes. I find you, and there is your car too....
Your credit score is a numeric value based on the good credit history you have. All credit in good standing helps raise this number. 30,60,90 day lates charge offs, etc lower this score. A repo will lower your score... And may also effect the rate your other creditors charge you on things like revolving credit, credit cards...
Do they? NOT usually. CAN they?? yes, if you convince them to. reporting a repo is reporting a fact. The repo DID happen. They report the payoff. That is a fact also.
It shouldn't.
as a repossession
Mike, that depends on how great your credit is. A repo on your record is NOT going to help. Any interest rate you get will be HIGH because of your credit rating. With a decent down payment you can always get a ride at a buy-here-pay-here car lot. Good Luck
