In other words, look at your Proof of Insurance card that you are given for the car. It should have names on it below the word Drivers:
If you do not see the person of whom is in question, then they are not on your insurance policy. I think the only time there will be no names would be if the car is a company car, in which case anyone could definitely drive the car.
