Yes it can, my head gasket blew on by truck just a little causing oil to enter the cylinder chamber. Once I did an oil change it would get black within the next couple of days, that is a definate sign of blow by.

What cause oil to flow back in your carburetor?

It sounds like there is too much pressure in the crank case, causing oil fumes to be cycled through the breather. High pressure in the crank case is caused by worn cylinder bores, allowing 'blow by'.

What happens if you do not change a bad intake manifold gasket on a 2000 ford explorer?

If it is an internal leak the coolant will end up in the crank case mixed with your oil and it will ruin the bearing/engine - if external leak then the engine will overheat when it runs low on coolant, and blow your head gasket

How hard is it to change a crank case gasket on a 2001 arctic cat 500?

I believe it is similar to my suzuki 500 the two side cover gaskets (clutch/magneto) are easy for someone who has experience, the crank case gasket at the center of the engine is very hard. The engine would have to be taken out and almost completely dissembled to get to the center crank case gasket, at this point it may be easier to get a used engine, or if your going to keep it for a while you can rebuild the engine you have. If your engine is leaking a little bit of oil, you can try some epoxy, clean the area with some sand paper and solvents to remove all oil/grease

How to change an engine valve gasket?

Just take the valve off. Scrape the old gasket off and be carful not to get it in the crank case. It'll get in the oil if you do and can ruin your engine conponents. Then put the new gasket on and put the valve cover back on. Oh yeah take the sparkplugs out first and remember which one went where.

If you don't vent your crank case in your Chevy sb will it cause coolant to go to your crankcase?

No, but your crankcase should be vented anyway. If your getting coolant in the crankcase it is getting in from a bad head gasket or cracked head or bad intake manifold gaskets. If you don't fix it soon your engine will be toast.
