Bad cylinder?
Do a compression test. perhaps lack of compression in one cylinder due to a bad valve or piston.
Does the check engine light come on? If so, have the codes read, they may lead you to the cause.
Have your ignition module and switch checked. I had the same problem and that was the answer.
Have the Overdrive and the Lock-Up Torque Converter checked. I would suspect the Lock-Up Torque Converter Solenoid is going bad.
It's been converted to run on propane? have the catalytic converter checked could be stoped up
Have you checked the catylitic converter? Had a Datsun B210 that had the same symptoms. Took the converter out and the honeycomb would clog after 20 - 30 minutes driving. Just a thought!
Have your Torque Converter/ Lockout Swith checked. I would also be worth it to have cam timing sensor checked. I had this exact problem on my 01 Aurora V8. Replaced sensor. Haven't had a problem since.
