First repent of your sin before God. The Bible says all liars will have their part in the lake of eternal fire. Believe on Jesus for your salvation. Next ask the guy for forgiveness.

If you are not a 'christian', have another religion or moral code, just explain what you did and say 'sorry' within the tenets of that code. It was your error you need to learn that there are consequences.
