The tank cover has to be psuhed manually from outside. So much "intelligence" for German design !!
A clogged or defective fuel filter will very likely cause a check engine light. If it is suspected, it should be replaced.
Anything that could cause a cylinder misfire can cause the check engine light to flash. A restricted fuel filter is one.Anything that could cause a cylinder misfire can cause the check engine light to flash. A restricted fuel filter is one.
Yes
Yes it can if it is clogged or has an obstruction it will most certainly prevent fuel from entering the engine. Check that you have fuel before the filter (incoming) and then check the output of fuel from the filter.
IS the check engine light on? The computer has the capability of putting the car in a "limp home mode" if somethign is wrong. If no check engine light, your fuel filter may be clogged and blocking fuel or the fuel pump is getting weak.
NO. if you replace the fuel filter, it will have NO effect on the flashing ce lite. how bout get the codes scanned, and THEN see why it is flashing? using the guess method to diagnose a problem with the millenia doesnt work
Auto Zone will check your engine codes for FREE. They will tell exactly what is causing your engine light to stay on. They may even reset it for you.
A dirty fuel filter could force a lean condition causing the check engine light to iluminate. In which case the vehicle would fail an emissions test.
I'd check the fuel filter and fuel pressure.
yes because there isn't enough oil isn't getting to the motor yes.a severely clogged filter can cause a lean condition triggering sensor codes activating the check engine light.
It could be fuel pump, fuel filter or out of fuel. To be certain, you can always use a code scanner to see if there are any stored codes.
Give us more info like the year, make, model and engine info. Do you have a check engine light illuminated? If so what are the codes? Have you tested for fuel pressure and fuel flow? Have you replaced the fuel filter?
