With any guy, you have to be passionate about what he is interested in. If it's a goth guy, maybe you shouldn't be looking at him if you also don't like goth (the clothes he wears - look at designs, is there a particular design that keeps coming up in his clothing?). It's not a good idea to lead a guy on, if he doesn't like you it will be embarrassing and if he does it will be a major ego killer for him!
