Anything going on in the left side, is always a good reason for concern that where your heart is. If its sharp pain, located front & center in your chest, or takes your breath away, get to a Dr or emergency room & have it checked out.
If the pain is low & in the back just above the belt line, It could be your kidneys. If you drink a lot of tea, coffee or soda & no water, just stop those for a few days & drink only & lots of water for 2 days & see if that flushes the kidneys. That is very common, specially in young people.
