Take it out of the old phone, then put it in your iPhone.
If you're in America and the sim card is not with AT&T, you'll have to unlock the iPhone. You need to jailbreak for that. After you jailbreak, search Cydia for the name of your carrier to find an unlock package. Not sure if that's how it's unlocked. Just try Google or YouTube. If you're not in America and the sim is with a different carrier to the carrier you iPhone's locked to, just call the carrier that your iPhone is locked to and ask to unlock it. In Australia it usually costs 80 dollars.
If your iPhone is unlocked, your good to go. Just swap in the sim!
BUT IF YOU HAVE AN iPhone 4, you need a micro sim. You need to cut your sim down to micro-sim size. I am not responsible for you screwing it up. Search YouTube to find what size to cut it to so it fits. All previous iPhone models use the mini-sim which is what almost all other phones use.
No sim cards are only for numbers
Yes, but first you must unlock and jailbreak your iphone.
no it can notwell... TECHNICALLY it can. but only to 3G at&t cell phones. the sim has a unique shape. and one of the MAIn reasons that the iPhone sim card cant be transferred to a non iPhone in some cases... is because the sim card compartment requires a tool to unlock it and take out the sim card. :O it comes with the phone though. but i think you can only transfer the sim from the iPHone 3gSSSSSS cuz it has the actual card in it. the others dont... idk why. :P
the iphone has a sim card which slots in the top of the iphone. to get the sim card tray out you have to use a pin or the special tool it came with to open it.
The iphone 4 comes with a micro sim. Your normal sim will not work with it. My AT&T dealer says he can transfer data directly from your sim/old phone to your new iphone 4.
Of course, the iPhone 3G and/or the original iPhone will take any normal sim card; the 3G iPhone will take the 3G sim as well.

You can fit a SIM card from your HTC Wildfire to an iPhone 4 by using the SIM port included in the iPhone.
You will be able to get the services in a Bell iPhone if you use a Komondo SIM card.
You can use the same SIM card for your iPhone 6 that you used in your iPhone 5.
In some situations, the status bar on your iPhone might display No SIM, even though your iPhone has a SIM card.
