No! If you have all documentation on the car, but missing the tags only, it's just silly. You're asking for trouble, any time cops see a car without tags, they'll pull you over and issue you a citation. Get your tags ang drive without any concerns of being pulled over, which is a hassel you don't really need.

How long can you drive after buying a car without auto insurance in Georgia?

You cannot drive a vehicle without insurance for any time. This means you must purchase insurance before you put the vehicle on the road or you are immediately in violation of state law. You also cannot purchase a tag and registration in Georgia without having insurance. The state has a computerized system that keeps up with insurance and registration. Many police vehicles are now equipped with a system that works like radar except that it tells whether you have current insurance and whether or not your registration is current. I had a client parked at work whose insurance had cancelled two days earlier but she was ticketed at work for not having current insurance.

You have fully comp car insurance can idrive another persons car third party if the car has a current mot and tax but the owners insurance has runout?

Of course you can drive it... you can drive any car you want... I think the question you are asking though is whether or not it will be legal to drive and whether or not an out of force car insurance policy will cover you if you wreck the vehicle even if it has a current tax and license... right? The answer to those questions is NO. If the current owner's coverage is not in force, it is not legal for you to drive the vehicle unless you have a Non-Owner Insurance policy which insures any vehicle you drive. An out of force policy will NOT cover you at all. Whether the vehicle has current license and tax has no bearing at all on whether you meet your States insurance guidelines.
