This is normal. Some women experience braxton hicks as early as 15 weeks. If you have a history of delivering your babies at preterm then be extra cautious. Just mention to your doctor at your next visit that you are experiencing them just so they have it on record and your doctor can go over any precautions that he or she may have for you.

∙ 12y agoI've been having braxton hicks since 20 weeks. So much that my doctor took me off work and said I would most likely deliver early. Here I am at 40 weeks and 2 days still pregnant and having regular BH constantly. They sure get annoying! It all depends on when you start feeling them, 16 weeks sounds normal. They say you can have them very early on you just don't feel them. Good luck!
