What color do you get when you mix red and pink?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You would more than likely get "mud". It is possible to get a rather light rosy gold if you experiment with diffrerent propportions of each color and perhaps a little white. Much depends on the intensity or brightness of the gold and pink.

How do you make watercolor paint darker?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

To darken or make "shades" of your watercolors simply add a small amount of black watercolor to it. You can also darken a hue by adding a darker "staining" hue of the same family to it. For example, add a dark red (i.e. alizarin crimson or thalo red) to a lighter red (i.e. cadmium scarlet or cadmium red). Because alizarin crimson (or thalo red) is a staining hue, only add a tiny amount of it to your light red hue.

What colors will mix make ivory?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Champagne

Ivory is a neutral colour and can be used with any and all colours. Using champagne, beige, ivory and tan would give you a nice calming neutral, monochromatic palette if you are decorating a room. However, it would be advisable to add small bits of color in your accesories to keep the look from being too bland.

How can you be a good drawer?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The best answer is practice, practice, practice.

Carry a sketch book (and a pencil) with you all the time. Whenever you have a bit of time, pull it out and draw anything and everything you see. Always, date your sketches and when you fill up one sketch book start another. I was told by my favourite "famous" artist, that I should never destroy your old sketch books as they are a record of how much your talents have changed and improved. They are also a great source of subjects for future drawings.

first find a book with lots of pictures and copy them then go a bit more detailed when you think you have gotten pretty good at it think of other creations and draw then free handed

What colours do you mix to make brown?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In order to make brown you need 2 complementary colors, such as red and green. You can add more of any color, but you run the risk of making it seem like a hue of that color. If it isn't dark enough you can slowly add some black.

Is acrylic fabric toxic?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Acrylic paint has been represented for decades to be "completely safe" because it is water-based, and therefore does not require a solvent to clean up. This is a myth, however, as the formaldehyde released by the paint in drying and absorbed by the skin from paint on hands, especially under the fingernails (which is highly absorbent) can lead to health problems. Don't believe the "safe" claims associated with acrylics--they should not be used by students in unventilated classrooms, for example, nor should they be freely allowed contact with the skin.

What colors look good with gray?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

=Colours that go well with blue in fashion and design would depend on the shade of blue e.g. baby blue goes with pink, yellow, purple, cream, orange, whereas navy blue goes with red, pink, yellow, green etc. If you look up a color wheel on the internet you will find it easier to find which colors match by looking at the first color on one side and matching it with the color opposite the first color.=

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

if it's a high quality finish, try xylol (xylene) available in the paint aisle at your local home improvement store. if it has not soaked into the grain of the wood, a sharp razor blade (used carefully) could also remedy your situation. If not, sanding and refinishing is a last resort.

How do you make gesso?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I have limited funds and want to prime a canvas for an oil painting, and have only used gesso in the past. I have a gallon of KILZ. Would this be an acceptable alternative?

Google Kilz and ask the manufacturer. They say they have many different Kilz products. You would want to be sure before wasting your skills on a painting that would somehow be spoiled by the wrong primer.
