What happened after when Manitoba became a province?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Manitoba is NOT a country. It is a province of Canada. It became a province with the passage of the Manitoba Act by the Parliament of Canada in 1870 - but it was nowhere near as big as it is now. Its borders were expanded in 1881, taking land from the Northwest Territories and the District of Keewatin - but there was a dispute with the province of Ontario over which province a large chunk of land on the east of Manitoba and the west of Ontario should belong to; the national government awarded Ontario the disputed portion in 1889. Manitoba assumed its current its current size in 1912, by absorbing land from the Northwest Territories to reach 60°N, uniform with the northern reach of its western neighbours Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Where can you find an affordable dental plan for your family?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

To find companies in your state that provide dental insurance or dental discount plans, go to the National Association of Dental Plans site (www.nadp.org) which has a directory of companies that offer dental insurance. The directory can be searched by state and you can select "individual" and get the list of just those companies that provide individual dental insurance in your state. The listing also tells you if the company provides dental HMO, dental PPO, dental indemnity (traditional insurance without a network) or a discount plan (not insurance but a discount off the dentist's fees who are part of the discount network).
