Her biggest mistake is regarded as her divorce to her first husband, Desi Arnaz. They divorced due to both being workaholics. She still loved him after their separation, and used to call him on their anniversary. After Lucille's death, her second husband, Gary Morton, said: "She's happier now. She's with Desi."

Did Lucy cheated on Desi?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There has been alot of speculation that Desi cheated on Lucy, but the only time that it was proven was right before "I Love Lucy" began. It has been recorded that Lucy and Desi were separated for much of the first decade of their marriage, due to his travels, alcohol abuse, and outside marital affairs. Lucy wanted to save their marriage, so they created the "I Love Lucy" pilot, hoping that the studio would be impressed and turn the pilot into a series. Lucy wanted to work side by side with Desi to keep him busy, hoping he wouldn't have time for other women, but also to keep track of him. They were set to get a divorce but reconciled right before the series began. Desi however did not change his ways and right after the last lucy-desi comedy hour "Lucy Meets the Moustache" was filmed Lucy filed for divorce.

Settle a question....Did Ricky and Lucy Ricardo sleep in the same bed?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

No. Despite the stars being married in real life as well as on the show, television censorship rules at the time (I Love Lucy ran from 1951 to 1960) didn't permit the showing of a couple sharing the same bed.

This odd requirement (by today's standards) was finally overturned in 1964, with the debut of programs such as The Munsters and Bewitched.

There are episodes where they seem to be sharing a bed, though it looks like two twins that have been pushed together, with a division down the middle of the bed. It does give the appearance of a double bed though.

Where did Lucy from I Love Lucy live?

Lucille Desiree Ball was originally from Jamestown, NY. She lived and worked in New York City for a couple of years, fashion modeling and acting. Then in 1933 at age 22, she moved to Hollywood permanently. She went there for a career in the movies (pretty gutsy for the middle of the depression) and did a number of movies in the thirties and forties. She earned the nickname 'Queen of the Bs' because she did so many B (low budget) movies. In 1948, she was hired to play a wacky wife on the CBS radio comedy program 'My Favorite Husband'. The program was very successful and CBS asked her to help develop a program for the new fangled TV; and in 1951, 'I Love Lucy' went on the air.

What do you mean by desi girl?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Desi (or Deshi; pronounced [ˈd̪eːsi] or [ˈd̪eːʃi], Hindi: देसी, Urdu: دیسی, Punjabi: ਦੇਸੀ, دیسی) is a word originally from Sanskrit literally meaning "from the country" or "of the country". In North America and Great Britain, desi is used colloquially to mean South Asian immigrants and their descendants. It is mainly used by those of South Asian origins themselves, rarely by the majority population, and carries a subtext of inclusiveness and unity. It allows South Asians to refer to their broader immigrant community, rather than requiring a specific, nationalistic label such as "Indian" or "Pakistani". As such, its connotations are positive, alluding to the shared values, bonds and experiences of descendants of the entire region. This self-referential colloquialism was created in the United Kingdom during the early 1960s to late 1980s and, in the UK is sometimes pronounced "Dezi."
