What does 007 mean for James Bond?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The 00 stands for "Agent with a license to kill". The 7 is just a serial number. The are more 00 agents out there, some of them are mentioned in the movies, such as 003 and 008, and James Bond happened to be number 7. (006 is the turncoat Alek Trevelyan in Goldeneye.)

James Bond is called James Bond 007 because initially he was on a mission to Russia and the ISD code for Russia is 007.

Why did Ian Fleming choose 007 for James Bond?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Ian Fleming chose the code name 007 for James Bond based on his experience working in naval intelligence during World War II. The number 007 was a designation for an agent with a "license to kill," giving Bond a sense of authority and danger. Fleming also thought that the repeating numbers were easy to remember and had a strong, mysterious appeal.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Never Say Never Again (1983) is not considered to be part of the official James Bond canon as it was not made by Eon Productions, which has produced the other twenty-three (23) films in the series. Furthermore, Never Say Never Again was simply a remake of Thunderball, having the same plot and similarly named characters. It also competed with the official Bond film of the same year, Octopussy.

007 in James Bond represents what?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

An agent with a "Double O" number means that he can kill people. 7 means that he is the seventh active duty person with licence to kill. When Ian Fleming first wrote Casino Royale, James Bond got his double O number just after WWII, meaning there had not been too many people given the licence to kill after the war ended in 1945. Of course since the 1950's and Daniel Craig's 2006 Casino Royale (set in the present era), this takes on a whole new meaning. Sean Connery in 1962's Doctor No could have been the seventh person to get a licence to kill after WWII, while Daniel Craig is probably the seventh person on active duty to have a licence to kill; all the others from post WWII to the present with a double O number have retired or died in the line of duty.

Are any of the James Bond movies rated R?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

According to the following site, there has never been an R-rated Bond film, not yet anyways...

http://www.bondmovies.com/news/29.shtml

You can check the ratings on a movie-by-movie basis on www.imdb.com, where it's interesting to note the different age ratings for other countries too. Sometimes movies are re-rated as our culture changes with the times, and these re-ratings are also shown at imdb.

http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=3129 Apparently "License To Kill" got the R-Rating originally, But got edited for a pg-13.

007 quantum of solace good person on the bad team glitch PLEASE answer?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Good Person on Bad Team or Bad Person on Good team, both the same way and easy.

1.) When you start the game (Or press 1 on the Wii remote during game) click the character you want.

2.)After clicking the character, click team, then ready really quickly.

3.) this is confusing the system what team you are on, so you get the character of other team on the opposite side.

So get your character, click team FIRST then ready RIGHT after and there you go! This does not work if you are hosting the group, only if you join a group. It may take a few times to do it, but this is the correct way and should eventually work.
