You have an Ithaca Model 37 featherweight 16ga and the buttstock is broken near the receiver Will a 12 ga or 20 ga buttstock fit the 16 ga receiver Is another company reproducing Ithaca style firearms?

User Avatar

A 12 gauge buttstock will not fit a 16 gauge receiver due to the size difference. A 20 gauge buttstock may fit, but it's recommended to find a replacement specifically designed for the 16 gauge model to ensure proper fit and function. There are companies like the Ithaca Gun Company that reproduce Ithaca Model 37 firearms and parts.

Where do you find a rifled slug barrel for a 20 gauge Ithaca mod 37?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

To whom it may concern, i bought a 20 gauge Ithaca Model 300 with a vented rib barrel when i was a senior in high school. i am 48 now. i have checked a few places looking for a slug barrel for this model shotgun. Most of the time i was told, i don't have one but i will sell you a extra smooth bore barrel and you can have it cut down, but i was looking for a rifled barrel. more than once I was told that Ithaca never made a slug barrel for that model gun, and since high school i have only seen one other person that had this same shotgun. i finally gave up on looking. hope you have better luck than i did.

What is the value of an Ithaca Guns 20 gauge Manier double barrel shotgun serial 143046 made in 1907 in very good condition?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Your gun is a Minier model Ithaca from 1907. "Manier" was a misprint on a serial number chronology Ithaca Gun Co. put out back in the 1960s. These were nice "utility grade" guns, made only for a couple of years, and are not in the same demand as the high grade Ithaca doubles. Depending on condition, these usually sell for $300-$400. PLEASE have this checked by a competent gunsmith before shooting ANYTHING in it. Guns from that time period sometimes had shorter chambers, and it IS 111 years old.

What would the value be on a 1892 single barrel acme 16 gauge shot gun?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Around $25-$50. Likely origin is Belgium, STRONGLY advise that you do NOT attempt to fire it. That time frame covers guns made for black powder shells, not smokeless. The 16 gauge shell was shorter back then, and many of those guns used a Twist steel barrel.
