You can buy Iron Maiden t-shirts from their official website "ironmaiden". Look also at sites like "Amazon" or "eBay" to get a great deal. Normal shops in your region maybe do have Iron Maiden t-shirts, too.
Black Sabbath have sold more albums, partly due to their slightly longer span. They've sold approximately 100 million albums worldwide, whereas Iron Maiden have sold 85 million worldwide.
the origin of Priest started with Al Atkin creating a band. it wasn't Priest and the band name was unknown as far as I know. the lieup was.
Bruno Stapenhill - bass
Al Atkins - vocals
John Perry - guitar
John Partridge then join on drums. shortly after Joh Perry was killed by someone in a car trying to kill themselves. so Earnest Chataway was his replacement. few years later, Al quited the band and found some of his old school mates, Ian Hill (The Bass) John Ellis (Drummer) and Kenneth Downing (K.K.) (who was rejected from joining Al's previous group due to lack of experience). Alan "Skip" Moore would then be the drummer for priest, replacing John Ellis. a year later he was then replace by Chris Campell. What is it with Priest and drummers?
amd then few years later, Campell and Al left the group, Halford joined, and Glenn
Tipton became the second guitarist, duoling with K.K.
so the original lineup started with
Bruno Stapenhill - bass
Al Atkins - vocals
John Perry - guitar
then it was
Bruno Stapenhill - bass
Al Atkins - vocals
John Partridge - drums
Earnest Chataway - guitar
then in formation of priest
Al Aktins - vocals
Ian Hill - bass
K.K. Downing - Guitar
John Ellis - Drums, then Alan Moore, then Bruce Campell on drums, then John Hinch (once Halford and Tipton joined), Alan Moore again, then Simon Phillips, then Les Binks, Then Dave Holland (who would stay with the band for nearly 10 years) then finally Scott Travis (who's still with the group)
The Trooper was featured in the album "Piece of Mind". The song is 4:10 minutes long and was released in 1983.
Eddie doesn't stand for anything! lol
Eddie was created by artist Derek Riggs as part of the artwork for Iron Maiden's first releases with EMI, Running Free and Women in Uniform and subsequently their first self titled album. It proved so popular that Mr Riggs continued to produce artwork involving Eddie for pretty much every iron maiden release since.
His name comes from a joke going round at the time about Eddie the 'ed.
Steve Harris, the band's bass player after watching the movie "The Man in the Iron Mask" was inspired by the torturing device called Iron Maiden which had a connection in the movie. An iron maiden is an iron cabinet with front doors on hinges. The doors and sometimes the back part and walls are covered with spikes. A person would be put in there for torturing purposes. As the doors would close, the person would be pierced. Many times with a fatal ending.
because Elton John had more hits than Neil Diamond and out sold more albums and concerts that's why
Bruce Dickinson was with another band called Samson before joining the Iron Maiden in 1981 after the band fired Paul Di'Anno. Other Iron Maiden band members, Thunderstick and Clive Burr were also part of Samson at some point of time.
Iron Maiden are a British Heavy metal band from Leyton in East London, formed in 1975. The band is directed by founder, bassist and songwriter Steve Harris. Their current record sales stand at over 80 million albums worldwide. Founding member and bassist Steve Harris, and guitarist Dave Murray, remain the longest-surviving members of Iron Maiden. They have been joined over the years by Bruce Dickinson, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers and Nicko McBrain.
It varies enormously depending on the venue, country, size etc. They typically make $500,000 for 10,000 seater arena shows, but for stadium gigs (of over 50,000 people) they can make up to $4 or 5 million. They could make a lot more than this if they jacked up their ticket prices but, unlike other artists, Iron Maiden choose not to exploit their fans.
They mostly consist of only traditional heavy metal or the new wave of british heavy metal. But their 1988 album Seventh son of a Seventh Son is widely considered a progressive metal album. There are also some prog metal elements in other songs in diffirent albums such as Somewhere in time, The X Factor, Virtual XI, and Dance of Death. So overall, Iron Maiden can be put under the prigressive metal genre.
The band's official biography suggests that, during their first few U.S. tours, there was a fair amount of partying probably involving soft drug usage (e.g. cannabis), but they soon took things more seriously and probably calmed down once they started headlining their own shows in America. Although drummer Nicko McBrain earned the nickname "Mr Excess", the only member we know for sure that took hard substances was Paul Di'Anno (singer from 78-81) who took large amounts of cocaine. The only member who we know has never taken any drugs is Steve Harris (bassist).
EDIT
Not only that, but Bruce Dickinson is also against drug use.
It all depends on where you sit, the location etc. When I went to see Iron Maiden at Twickenham, London for their Somewhere Back in Time Tour (2008, I think) and it cost me approximately £50-£65
Iron Maiden were formed in 1975. Their First album was released in 1980.
Only 2 members who were in Iron Maiden in 1975 are still in the band.
They are Steve Harris and Dave Murray.
Yes- 'Bring your daughter to the slaughter' from the 'No Prayer For the Dying Album'.
Paul Di'anno left due to following solo careers in bands such as Gogmagog, also there were some disagreements in the band
Bruce Dickinson left for the same reason, he created bands such as Tatooed Millionaire
Blaze Bayley left due to allergies and disagreements in the band.
Hope it helped :)
