How do you remove the governor?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Simply remove the linkage, spring, and control arm. Letting the crank or air vane run free is fine, but you risk extreme engine damage from overspeeding. Example: a 5 hp horizontal shaft L-head left at wide open throttle will go from idle to 8000 rpm (guaranteed connecting rod failure) in a little less than 2 seconds, OHV engines even faster!

How do you Replace wiper arm Audi?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

On most of the cars I've owned (in UK) there is a cover on the end of the arm that lifts up exposing a threaded shaft that the arm is attached to. Undo the retaining nut and ease up the wiper arm. It may be tight as it is on a spline. You may need to tap it with a soft mallet to free it, or use some WD40 or similar. When replacing be careful to line it up on the spline in the correct place or you may not get the correct sweep on the windscreen (as we say here).

How do you fix a broken car window handle?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

your going to have to take it to a mechanic. mine just recently broke and its because the handle had actually broken from the inside so they had to get all new parts for it. it sucked because for some reason my car window got stuck halfway down and you couldn't get it back up, so people were easily able to break into my car!

What is the difference between a BMW 325i and a BMW 325is?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

This depends heavily on the year of the 325is. The "s" designates "sport", and it typically has been collection of performance options.

The original 325is was introduced in 1987 with the "e30" body style. That generation of 325is was specially the 2 door sedan (other makes refer to this as a "coupe", but BMW calls it a 2 door sedan) with a firmer suspension, limited slip differential, special air dam, trunk spoiler, sport seats and other upgraded interior features. Later generations had similar upgraded options that are year-specific, but always include performance options (firmer suspension, LSD) and the high-end interior options (sport seats).

How to remove a car door?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

This greatly depends on make and model... but most vehicles have two hinges on the inside of the door... usually four bolts your have to take off with an extension and a ratchet. if you have power accesories you need to feed those wires back through the door wire boot... and also there is usually a stop pin that you have to remove in the middle of the 2 hinges which keep your door from opening too far...

How do you open the bonnet on a Saab 93?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

On the left hand side near where the driver's knee (on LHD cars) there is a lever with a black rubber end which will be pointing backwards when the hood is closed. Push the lever down and it should rotate through 90deg. This releases the bonnet main catch. Outside the car, lift the rear edge a little near the left hand corner and it will stop against the safety latch which is about 12 inches from the left edge, towards the middle of the car. Push this forwards and the bonnet can be lifted. Shutting the hood is a reversal, that is do *not* slam the hood, just let it rest down with a gentle push, then pull the inside lever up again and this will clamp the hood shut. If you slam the hood you will damage the latches. [Confusingly, 1993 cars onwards did have a slam shut mechanism, and the release lever in the same place has just a small movement backwards].

How many strings does a Oud have?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The lute's strings are arranged in courses, usually of two strings each, though the highest-pitched course usually consists of only a single string, called the chanterelle. In later Baroque lutes 2 upper courses are single. The courses are numbered sequentially, counting from the highest pitched, so that the chanterelle is the first course, the next pair of strings is the second course, etc. Thus an 8-course Renaissance lute will usually have 15 strings, and a 13-course Baroque lute will have 24.

The number of strings a lute has depends on the type of lute; it could have as few as eight or as many as thirty-five, with other possible variations.

Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you have performed this step successfully. ( Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time ) . If this procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter programming mode. 3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position. 4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the keyless remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. ( Do not press the button more than one time in the above step). If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful. 5. If there are any remaining remotes (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver's side power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. Repeat this step for each keyless remote (including any existing keyless remotes). 6. How do you Reset service reminder clock on 2000 vw polo?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Setting the Clock on a PoloHere are recommendations and suggestions from FAQ Farmers:
  • On the 2003 you have the tripometer reset button on the dash under the speedometer. If you twist it left, the minutes will alter and right for the hours. I only realized this myself earlier today.
  • If you look at the clock face you'll see that not all the screws are screws, I think two of them you can depress with a pen or similar to change the time.
