A crab that lives in the shells of other shell fish is called a hermit crab.
The deep south regions of the United States is a growing area making significant oil discoveries at a rapid rate. Most of the area is warm and humid year-round.
The cat-faced spider (Araneus gemmoides) may be described as having a large abdomen with four pin-sized holes.
The spider is harmless. It is called cat-faced because of the patterning of the dimples, holes or indentations on its abdomen. The pattern often is interpreted as reminiscent of the eyes and ears of a cat.
yes, the are very social and curious. they like to live in groups of 3+ crabs, and will tolerate human interaction very well if handled properly.
It depends. If it is a land hermit crab "no", you do not want to put it in deep water to make it swim, it can actually just drown and die. I used to have a hermit crab and my friends babysitted it and when i got back the water bowl was spilt and my hermit crab was laying on its side, dead. If it is a water hermit crab, "yes". It needs water so it can swim, and just relax in it. it needs it!
Fiddler crabs have clear scales over their eyes, but they do not have eye lids that move like we do.
Hermit crabs are considered to be in the arthropods family. Hermit crabs have a hard exoskeleton made of chiton which helps provide protection and give the muscles attachment support. Although a hermit crab will grow, their exoskeleton does not so they must constantly shed said exoskeleton in favor for a new one that it grows into.
There are a huge number of differences between a crab and a fish including the fact that most fish do not have a hard shell or carapace while most crabs do have this type of covering. Crabs also have legs and claws while fish do not have those appendages.
Check if it is moving because it is most likely dead. If it is dead it will smell like dead fish Or check its food. It might be making the smell.
a crab can live forever until something eats it or squishes it

Hermit Crabs look like they die and fell out of thier shell. The skin they left behind looks just like them but they only grew out of thier old skin and are still growing like a snake, cicada, or anything else that sheds and leaves skin or a shell behind. So don't worry. I found one my first time having one. It looked like it was transfering into a new shell. It was in there for a while so when i picked it up the skin fell off and when i thought it died I almost threw the shell away but I looked in the shell and the crab was in the shell still. So thats when i looked up this question. When hermit crabs actually die they look like a shrimp with their tail but when they molt they don't shed all the way to their tail, only half way. HOPE THIS HELPED.
No. If it's small enough for the Goldfish to try and eat it, it will. If it's a larger type of crab, like Fiddler or Rainbow, then these need salty water and land to get out on and will try and catch and eat a Goldfish.
Typically its about to molt or in the process of shedding it's outer shell, molting.
3-5 days if refrigerated shortly after cooking
it is a vetabrate if it has a endo skeleton made of bone or cartilage
A ghost crab isn't a single type of crab, but is a group or related crabs of the species Ocypode. They have a bit of range in their sizes, as you might guess, but the largest ones run just a few ounces, tops. A link is provided below.
Well, I know some because I have one, and for one, the 'Answer' was a question. See other 'posts' to mantain the balance of the society, of lower-numbered questions.
