The college used to be called Trenton State College. I think they changed the name to bring more people inside of the state and outside of the state to the college. I like the new name better it shows that there is a school in NJ that bares the states name. Another new thing that is happening in NJ, is that there is a new hip hop artist named Darcello "Diamondz" Porter! His new single is called: Gore-Tex Music!

The seal is the central motif in the flag of New Jerseyand the Great Seal of the State of New Jersey.

The coat of arms contains a horse's head; beneath that is a helmet, showing that New Jersey governs itself, and it has three plows on a shield to highlight the state's agriculture tradition, which shows why the state has the nickname "Garden State". The two Goddesses represent the state motto, "Liberty and Prosperity". Liberty is on the left. She is holding a staff with a liberty cap on it, and the word liberty underneath her. The goddess on the right is Ceres, goddess of agriculture. She is holding a cornucopia with prosperity written below her.[

Located on the eastern coast of the United States of America, in the mid-Atlantic region, the state of New Jersey is bordered by the states of Delaware, New York and Pennsylvania on the west, north and southern sides apart from the Atlantic Ocean on the eastern side. While its population density is one of the highest in the country, with many important towns and cities and business centers such as Trenton, Jersey City, Hoboken and Princeton, the state is also a traveler’s paradise with its bays, beaches, farms and scenic trails through undulating woodlands.

While the Jersey Shore is famous for its pristine beaches and boardwalks, frequented also by migratory birds during certain times of the year, the Pine Barrens can be enjoyed for its lush green forests that are favored by camping and canoeing enthusiasts. Hiking along trails, camping and rafting are also popular on the Delaware River, while the state’s largest water body, the Lake Hopatcong, provides excellent opportunities for swimming and boating. While Sandy Hook, located towards the northern tip of the state’s coastline, is one of the north east’s few official optional-clothing beaches, Mountain Creek in Sussex County, is known for its many parks and spectacular winter special ski resorts.

While the long coastline of the state is perfect for swimming, sunbathing and surfing, the beaches and grounds close to the water provide great settings for running, strolling or even flying kites. Be it trying your hand with hot air balloons in Clinton or walking through beautiful wine country at Cream Ridge, New Jersey has something on offer for everybody. Be it a throbbing nightlife at glitzy casinos at Atlantic City or dance clubs in the town of Belmar and jazz music clubs of the town of Madison, New Jersey is a tourist’s haven with a variety of shopping opportunities, flea markets, antique stores and boutiques as well.

For the foodie, the state has a lot on offer. The traveler will have ample scope to sample the New Jersey special sweet corn, cranberries, tomatoes, and blueberries, at the close to 25,000 eating joints. Most of the restaurants are open through the day and night and have on offer large, filling and varied meals at a low price. Beer and other hard liquor flow freely in New Jersey from licensed sellers. Microbreweries that can be sampled in the state include Cricket Hill and Flying Fish.
