It helps to have one with you in case of emergency because you can call 911 on it, but I think that people should not be allowed to use them while driving unless they are in an emergency situation while driving, such as a car that won't stop because the brakes won't work, or trying to flee from an earthquake that has affected the road they are on, or something like that. no matter were u are you need a cell phone you might be aducted and you dont have a cell phone to call for help now do you?so go to target whaile you still can and get a pay as you go and the tracfone and be save for crying out loud!!

∙ 16y agoWhen in control of a vehicle, and having a conversation with a (3rd) person not in the same vehicle:
There is no chance that the 3rd person will notice a potential hazard/situation ahead, and stop talking, allowing the driver to notice/(become aware of) the hazard ahead.
There is no chance that the 3rd Person will notice a potential hazard/situation ahead, and bring it to the attention of the driver.
The 3rd person will, actually, continue to talk to the driver, and continue to occupy their attention regardless as to what's going on ahead, and will be quite happy to continue to talk to the vehicle driver as they drive under a Semi.
The 3rd person is not in the vehicle and hence can't see what's going on, and wont suffer any injury as a result of the drivers lack of attention.
Apart from that, I think they should be allowed. It's called "evolution in action".
