Don't do it! This is a job for an advanced gunsmith only. All parts are hand fit and under spring tension. These old Remington shotguns are like a Chinese puzzle. Special tools are also needed.
50-100 USD
It depends on the grade, hammer or hammerless, damascus, condition of case colors and wood and blueing, etc. Also a bunch of other factors like engraving, length of barrels, how they are choked.I just put $1600 in a 1889 G grade hammer with damascus in good shape...Mike
That's a Remington model 1889 made shortly after 1900, they reassigned the numbers to 200,000 in 1900, and (ballpark here) maybe 30,000 more. The value is greatly dependent on original condition, condition, condition, and of course grade. Without that it's hard to say but if it's standard grade in "good" condition i.e. not beat to heck and not rusty it's probably in the $300 range. These old shotguns are not worth much unless they are in top notch condition and a higher grade.
grade is found on the water table

That is a model 1889 made in 1894, the value is based on condition, condition, and condition. Tomato stake or showroom new?
The value depend on the condition of the shotgun. Have is appraised by a gunsmith or advanced collector. The inlet brass wolves are not original but should not significantly degrade the value if they look well done.
New heard of a "New Model" 1882 and that is not a serial no for a 1882.It does fit the serial range of a model 1889 made in the last days of 1902.
