A SD or SDHC card is a card that collects an stores data. It is developed by a company named SanDisk hence the SD and some can store more han others and the ones that can store a whole lot are callled SDHC cards. The HC stands for High Capacity. So an SDHC card is technically a SanDisk High Capacity card and a SD card is a SanDisk card. get it
According to Garmin:"As long as your nuvi or zumo has the latest version of software, it will be compatible with all SD and SDHC datacards. While SDHC datacards are available in a variety of storage sizes and speeds, we only recommend using a maximum of 16GB SDHC cards."That FAQs refers you to the product documentation for specifics on if you model can accept SD or microSD cards.According to the specifications page from the Owner's Manual for the nuvi 250s:"Data Storage: Internal Memory and optional removable microSD or SD card. Data stored indefinitely."So the nuvi 250s can accomodate either an SD card or a microSD card.
Yes, it will support 4Gb Micro SDHC, just be aware of the following:Taken from LG-vu.comWith any microSD card smaller than 4Gb, you can set the camera's primary storage by initializing the camera, selecting the "Settings" cog/gear icon in the lower-right hand corner > Primary Storage > Memory Card > Save. With the 4Gb microSDHC cards, the camera will only accept the card as primary storage if you have 2Gb of data already on the card, otherwise it defaults to "Handset" storage mode. You must add music, videos, photos, files, etc. until your 4Gb microSDHC is at least half-full. You may then set the Primary Storage mode for the camera to "Memory Card."
After updating the ROM with version "V03.0735.00 WWE 0409" from Asus' website, it works with my A-DATA Turbo 8GB (class 6) SDHC.
Neither, it is a storage device (removable storage).
ALL SD and SDHC cards are supplied with an integral switch to prevent accidental erasure of the data stored on it.
After a bit of digging around - the consensus appears that the data rate is 25MB/s
A SDHC Card Reader is used to read secure digital cards. Secure digital cards are used for recording data on digital cameras, GPS devices, phones and tablets.
Most digital cameras have settled on the SD/SDHC storage format, though some still use xD or MemoryCard.
Yes. SD and SDHC cards are physically the same. The electronics in SDHC are just adapted so that it can hold more data in the same size (hence HC - high capacity). I am currently using an 8GB SDHC lexar media card and it works great. I can get 1200 images on JPEG fine and 600 on RAW :)
SD, and SDHC cards have a tiny tab that can be moved. One position means the card can be written to (pictures etc. can be saved on it) - the other position 'locks' the card to prevent accidental erasure of the data.
